“The compact unit gives a very small foot print with an intuitive workflow that has not slowed since changing from a cabled sensor system.”
I have been using both rigid sensor and phosphor plate digital radiography for many years. My personal preference has gradually shifted in favour of phosphor plates. Reliability and maintenance costs have reduced. The imaging plates are easier to position especially for taking images for endodontic diagnosis. Moreover, I have training facilities for students and imaging plates are more like what the students are used to using.
I was confident on the Acteon brand and the support due to other ACTEON products I have in my surgery.
When I looked at PSPIX², I immediately liked the compact design. The compact unit gives a very small foot print with a good and intuitive workflow that has not slowed since changing from the rigid sensor due to its touch screen. As I have always used digital radiography I am used to having an efficient workflow, but the improvement with PSPIX2 is the way the scanner can be shared easily on the network giving user instructions. The image quality and software included are also very impressive.
Overall I am very happy that we chose PSPIX2. The imaging plate flexibility is more comfortable and there is a good range of sizes which provides good adaptability and coverage. What’s more, the imaging plates are sealed and protected from damage and contamination with cardboard inserts and outer sealed pouches, providing a high level of protection for my patients.
